the heart of our business - an exceptional network
At the heart of our business is a group of exceptional candidates. These are people who manage the commercial interface between humans and technology. Dynamic, calculated risk-takers and persuasive advocates of adapting business to serve customers in the 21st century, they are the people who ensure your firm navigates the channel-shifting sands of ecommerce and digital marketing.
We make it out business to know who’s who, not just those currently inhabiting leadership positions but the emerging layer of rising talent.
James Minter
James was sponsored through Durham University by the Royal Navy and enjoyed an early career as a Naval Officer. On leaving the services in 1999, he set up one of London’s first serviced offices in the midst of the dotcom boom which ended up playing host to dozens of tech start ups and early digital marketing agencies. By 2001 he had turned the basement of his central London offices into the prestigious Adam Street Private Members' Club; London’s first club for tech start ups and entrepreneurs. By 2013, James was a well known personality in London’s thriving digital economy and he had cemented a reputation as being one of the best connected men in London. This background combined with his natural talent for making great connections made him the perfect partner for a rapidly expanding Hannington Tame.
Outside of the tech/entrepreneur world, James reopened the famous music venue The Tabernacle in Notting Hill and assuages his love for the sea by dinghy racing. He now also admits to being a reluctant MAMIL and a mid-life crisis tennis player.
Patrick Tame
Patrick left the Army in 2003 to pursue a career as a recruiter, taking a role on the consumer marketing desk at Michael Page (where he was one of the groups highest performers in the UK) before moving on to found Beringer Tame. Beringer Tame was one of the first recruitment brands in the UK to specialise in Digital Marketing and Ecommerce and remains a highly respected recruitment brand. In 2013, it became apparent that more space was being been made in the board room for digital and ecommerce leaders and Beringer Tame were regularly winning pitches against big brand executive search firms. At this point the business was split into two, Beringer Tame continues to work with ecommerce and digital marketing specific roles, leaving Hannington Tame free to focus on delivering executive search processes for leadership and cross functional roles.
Outside of Hannington Tame, Patrick holds a flying instructor rating and enjoys paramotoring (he can often be seen in the skies over Hampshire). Patrick plays various instruments in a popular band, is a director of the London Mozart Symphony Orchestra, has published a children’s book & volunteers as a Prince’s Trust mentor.
